The Story
The journey begins when the call to prayer is whispered into the newborn's ears. Children learn about the world around them from a very young age. Play is an essential element in a child's growth and development, and through play, they learn about themselves and build knowledge and confidence. The goal of Princess Olive is to provide the Islamic resources to educate and inspire and celebrating Islamic values and culture while promoting a positive Muslim identity.

Like many big ideas, this webshop was created out of a necessity. Being a Muslim mother in Canada and wanting to provide an Islamic upbringing for her daughter Sara Zaitoon, mompreneur Andaleeb Mustaq found herself without the resources she sought. So she created a place where these resources would be readily available all in one convenient place.

 

Princess Olive is in it's first year of business and is continuing to grow. We currently specialize in custom designing organic baby apparel. We also carry a range of high quality educational books, Islamic toys, Arabic alphabet games, natural wooden blocks and homeschool resources, originating worldwide from Egypt, England, Germany, India, and the United States.

 

The name "Princess Olive" was inspired from the founder's daughter's name, Sara Zaitoon, which literally translates to Princess Olive! The olive is one of the foods to which attention is drawn in the Holy Qur'an and Scriptures. The oil pressed from olives has long been sacred for its medicinal benefits and source of light. The olives with branches is also a sign of peace and friendship in the world.
